Cultivating Resilient Livelihoods in Kenya's ASAL Counties
Technical implementing partner to Mercy Corps under the RANGE Program · Isiolo & Samburu Counties
RANGE is a five-year initiative (2024–2028) funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and led by Mercy Corps, strengthening resilience across Isiolo, Marsabit and Samburu counties.
Sustainable vegetable production is a key diversification pathway for pastoral and agro-pastoral households, offering additional nutrition and income during periods of climatic or market stress.
As technical implementing
partner, Holland Greentech Kenya equips farmers in Isiolo and Samburu with
practical skills in vegetable production, post-harvest management, market
linkages and business practices.
RANGE PARTNERSHIP
Program & Reach Goals
- 350+ farmers trained directly, 300 reached indirectly
- At least 50% women and/or youth participants
- 2 counties: Isiolo & Samburu
- 2 fully equipped open field demonstration plots, 500 m² each
- 1 fully equipped greenhouse demonstration plot
